Purpose:
- Customer administrators can use this guide to plan user additions and profile changes. The options visible in Car Wars depend on your role and account configuration.
Information Needed from User:
- User's full name and business email address.
- Dealership, location, or account the user needs.
- Job Position and required access level.
- Cell or Desk phone number.
- Whether the user needs an agent line, texting, reporting, or administrative access.
- Approver for the request (depending on the access requested).
"How To" Add A User:
- Open the staff profiles section via product.
- Check that a profile does not already exist for the same person or business email.
- Enter the user's name, business email, and destination phone.
- Assign only the role and account access required for the user's job.
- Assign a unique phone code if the user's workflow requires one.
- Save the profile and have the user complete sign-in and MFA setup.
Understand phone codes and agent lines
- A phone code identifies a user for call attribution and supported workflows. Do not assign the same code to multiple active users in the same account or connected group.
- An agent line is a phone number associated with an agent. It is not the same as the user's destination phone or phone code.
- An outbound line is used by supported outbound calling features such as Click-to-Call.
Edit an existing user
Confirm the correct profile before changing email, phone, role, account access, phone code, or assigned lines. Changes to sign-in information or MFA destinations should be approved by an authorized account administrator.
When an employee leaves
Deactivate the former employee's access promptly. Avoid renaming and reusing a profile without reviewing call history, reports, phone-code ownership, agent lines, texting integrations, and account permissions. Preserving the original profile helps maintain accurate historical reporting.
When to contact Car Wars Support
Contact Support if your role does not include user administration, the profile is inactive or duplicated, the requested access spans multiple accounts, a phone code conflicts, or agent-line and integration changes are required.
Include the requester and approver, dealership, affected user, requested change, required access, phone-code or line details, and effective date. Do not send passwords or MFA codes.
